Saudações do inferno Vincent. É com grande prazer que o recebemos para esta entrevista no nosso Web site Occultus Ars Tenebrae.
OAT: Ao longo do tempo a cena de metal mudou de diversas maneiras, mas algumas coisas têm resistido desde o início. Qual é a sua visão sobre metal extremo hoje?
Vincent - Nada vai captar a forma como Metal esteve nos dias de glória. Estamos passando esse ponto devido à tecnologia arruinar muitas coisas. Tudo o que posso fazer é continuar lançando a melhor música possível e mantê-la tão pura quanto possível.
OAT: O Acheron já tem um longo caminho na cena do metal extremo, por isso é reconhecido e respeitado em todo o mundo. Como você vê esses quase 30 anos de Acheron em sua vida? O que isso significa para você?
Vincent - ACHERON é uma parte de mim. Não tem existido um dia em minha vida desde sua concepção em que eu não pensei nisso. Houve muitos altos e baixos na banda. Mas eu não os trocaria por nada. Tem sido uma jornada interessante. E a banda evoluiu assim como eu também evolui. ACHERON é o minha parte satânica desencadeada!
OAT: O nome Acheron surgiu de alguma influência? O que esse nome significa para você?
Vincent - Na mitologia grega ACHERON foi o "Rio de Woe" que era o caminho para Hades. Eu pensei na banda como uma forma de levar nossos ouvintes para o mesmo lugar.
OAT: O ódio sempre esteve presente entre a humanidade, os seres humanos são cada vez mais ignorantes e cegos pelos dogmas impostos pela religião do Deus falso. Qual é a sua opinião sobre este fato?
Vincent - O único Deus que eu aceito é a mim mesmo! Eu não preciso acreditar em merda. São criações do homem feitas para controlar os fracos. Os deuses e suas religiões são a razão de tanta guerra e derramamento de sangue. Devemos nos livrar de todas como um câncer. E a minha opinião pessoal sobre o satanismo é que é uma filosofia de estilo de vida, não uma religião doentia!
OAT: Como você conheceu e viveu com Anton Szandor LaVey e têm sido um membro ativo e sacerdote na Igreja de Satanás?
Vincent - Eu nunca morei com Anton LaVey. Consegui conhecê-lo através de Peter H. Gilmore. O Dr. LaVey me fez sacerdote depois que viu meu trabalho na cena. Ele mais tarde me avançou para o posto de Magister. Mas depois que ele morreu as coisas mudaram na IGREJA DE SATANÁS, então eu renunciei em 2000. Eu já não acredito em QUALQUER grupo organizado declarando-se religioso.
OAT: A banda tem algum conselho para para quem está começando agora no metal extremo?
Vincent - É uma estrada difícil de viajar. E se você quer ser um astro do rock isto não é para você! Leva muito trabalho e amor por essa música. Você não se tornará rico e famoso como Ozzy. (Ha, Ha). Basta fazer o que você gosta e se funcionar, ótimo! Neste novo mundo da tecnologia, todos pensam que são estrela on-line. Eles não são!
OAT: Como foi a experiência de Acheron no Brasil em 2008 e 2012? Você espera para voltar?
Vincent - Surpreendente! Os fãs foram ótimos e as pessoas nos trataram muito bem. Nós realmente queremos voltar!
OAT: O que você acha sobre as más interpretações de suas letras e simbolismos usados pela banda?
Vincent - Eu não me preocupo com isso. Eu sou muito franco sobre minhas crenças e opiniões. Não estou escondendo nada. Então, quando as pessoas tentam dizer que somos algo que não são, tudo que eu posso dizer é "Calem-se!". ACHERON é apenas uma banda 100% satânica/anti-religiosa! Nada político ou outras coisas.
OAT: Quais são os planos de Acheron para este ano de 2017 Há algum lançamento planejado?
Vincent - ACHERON não está mais gravando álbuns, então vamos apenas estar em turnê. Em 2017 estaremos em turnê pelo 20º aniversário do lançamento do ANTI-GOD, ANTI-CHRIST e em 2018 faremos a turnê do 30º Aniversário da nossa banda.
OAT: Temos visto vários ataques islâmicos no Ocidente nas últimas décadas. Qual é a sua visão do extremismo islâmico e suas conseqüências?
Vincent - O Islã não é o inimigo número 1 declarado! Os muçulmanos são ainda piores do que os cristãos hoje em dia. Minha nova banda INFIDEL REICH vai fazer algumas letras sobre eles em nossas canções.
OAT: Em relação a cena do metal extremo brasileiro, qual é a sua opinião?
Vincent - Muitas grandes bandas são do Brasil! O Brasil é muito mais Metal do que os EUA!
OAT: Você vê alguma relação entre o Nacional Socialismo e o Black Metal?
Vincent - Para algumas bandas que tomam essa rota, eu acho. Mas eu sou da velha escola e quando eu ouço de Black Metal eu penso mais de VENOM do que BURZUM (Ha, Ha). Para mim Black Metal é apenas pura música satânica obscura.

OAT: Over time the metal scene has changed in several ways, some things have resisted from the beginning. What is your vision regarding extreme metal today?
VC- Nothing will capture the way Metal was in the glory days. We are past that point due to technology ruining many things. All I can do is keep releasing the best music I can and keep it as pure as can be.
OAT: Acheron already has a long road in the extreme metal scene, so it is recognized and respected all over the world. How do you see these almost 30 years of Acheron in your life? What does this mean to you?
VC- ACHERON is a part of me. There hasn't been a day in my life since it's conception that I haven't thought about it. There has been a lot of ups and downs in the band. But I wouldn't trade them for anything. It has been an interesting journey. And the band has evolved as I have. ACHERON is the satanic part of me unleashed!
OAT: Did the name Acheron arise from any influence? What does this name mean to you?
VC- In Greek mythology ACHERON was the "river of Woe" that was the way to Hades. I thought of the band as a way of taking our listeners to the same place.
OAT: Hatred has always been present among humanity, human beings are increasingly ignorant and blinded by the dogmas imposed by the religion of the false God. What is your opinion on this fact?
VC- The only God I accept is myself! I need o make believe bullshit. They are creations of man made to control the weak. Gods and their religions are the reason for so much war and bloodshed. We must rid them all like a cancer. And my personal opinion about Satanism is it is a lifestyle'philosophy, not a sickening religion!
OAT: How did you get to know and live with Anton Szandor LaVey and have been an active member and priest in the Church of Satan?
VC- I never lived with Anton LaVey. I got to know him through Peter H. Gilmore. Dr. LaVey made me a priest after he saw my work in the scene. He later advanced me to the rank of Magister. But after he died things changed in the CHURCH OF SATAN, so I resigned in 2000. I no longer believe in ANY organized groups declaring themselves religious.
OAT: Does the band have any advice to give to those who are starting now in the extreme metal?
VC- It is a hard road to travel. If you want to be a Rock Star this isn't for you! It takes lots of work and love for this music. You won't become rich and famous like Ozzy. (Ha, Ha) Just do what you enjoy and if it works our great. In this new world of technology, everyone thinks they are a star on-line. They are not!
OAT: How was Acheron's experience in Brazil in 2008 and 2012? Do you wait to come back?
VC- Amazing! The fans were great and people treated us so well. We indeed want to come back!
OAT: What do you think about the bad interpretations of your lyrics and symbolism used by the band?
VC- I don't worry about it. I am pretty outspoken about my beliefs and views. I'm not hiding anything. So when people try to say we are something we are not al I can tell them is "Piss Off!" ACHERON is just a 100% Satanic/Anti-Religious band! No politics or other stuff.
OAT: What are Acheron's plans for this year 2017? Are there any releases planned?
VC- ACHERON is no longer recording albums anymore, so we will just be touring. In 2017 we will be touring for the 20th Anniversary of the ANTI-GOD, ANTI-CHRIST release and in 2018 we will be doing our band's 30th Anniversary tour.
OAT: We have seen several Islamic attacks in the West in the last decades. What is your view of Islamic extremism and the consequences of it?
VC- Islam is not public enemy #1! Muslims are even worse than Christians nowadays. My new band INFIDEL REICH will be doing some lyrics about them in our songs.
OAT: Regarding the brazilian extreme metal scene, what is your opinion?
VC- Many great bands from Brazil! Brazil is much more Metal than the USA!
OAT: Do you see any relationship between National Socialism and Black Metal?
VC- For some bands that take that route, I guess. But I am old school and when I hear of Black Metal I think more of VENOM than BURZUM. (Ha, Ha) To me Black Metal is just pure dark Satanic music.
